Chris Evans and Alba Baptista Celebrate Arrival of Their First Child!

Chris Evans has embraced fatherhood!

The iconic Captain America actor, aged 44, along with his wife, 28-year-old Portuguese actress Alba Baptista, have recently become parents, as reported by TMZ on Tuesday. The couple welcomed their newborn into the world last Friday in Massachusetts.

This marks the first child for both Evans and Baptista, who have not yet made any public statements regarding the arrival of their new family member.

The relationship between the star of Marvel and the Warrior Nun actress has been kept quite private since the news first broke of their romance in January 2022. The duo exchanged vows in a private wedding ceremony held at a Cape Cod estate in Massachusetts in September 2023.

Previously, Evans has openly shared his aspirations of fatherhood. In a November 2024 interview with Access Hollywood at the premiere of his movie Red One, he confirmed his eagerness to become a father. When asked if he aspired to be a “superhero” dad like Dwayne Johnson’s character in the movie, Evans enthusiastically agreed, saying, “Yeah, I hope so. Yeah, absolutely,” and noted that being called a dad is an exhilarating prospect.

In an earlier discussion in November 2022 with PEOPLE magazine, Evans revealed his future family plans, expressing a strong desire for a traditional family setup. He stated, “That’s absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family.”

He further reflected on the value of personal relationships over professional achievements, remarking, “When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of],” he continued, “it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared.”
