Graham Wright’s body was discovered at Rubha Dubh by Firkin Point on September 13, found by a passerby, several weeks after he was reported missing.
Authorities investigating the death of a Rangers fan, found dead in Loch Lomond, have cordoned off a residence and a wooded area in Castlemilk.
The remains of Graham Wright were located at Rubha Dubh near Firkin Point on September 13, identified by a civilian, long after he had vanished.
In the ongoing investigation, specialized police units have been actively searching locations across Glasgow and Lanarkshire. Recently, police sealed off a home and were seen guarding the premises of a four-story building on Ardencraig Quadrant.
The back of the house has been secured with police tape, and numerous police vehicles have been spotted in the vicinity as part of the ongoing investigation.
A pathway that leads into the woods off Hoddam Avenue has also been sealed, with police stationed at its entrance.
Forensic experts in white suits were observed meticulously examining the area early Friday morning.
Since the discovery of Graham’s body, multiple sites have seen significant police actions.
Earlier in the week, it was reported that detectives investigating the 38-year-old’s death had searched an apartment connected to another missing individual, Lewis Cuthbert.
This particular one-bedroom apartment in Rutherglen has been a center of police activity ever since Graham’s body was found.
Previously, officers had also questioned neighbors of the same apartment about the 25-year-old street performer, Lewis Cuthbert, who remains missing and was last seen on August 4.
Local residents have noticed police conducting inquiries at a residence on Cumberland Street in the Gorbals, where Graham lived. They have also been searching for a man who lived next door to him. This individual’s rental van was later discovered burned, and according to police sources, he has discarded his phone and “appears to have disappeared.”
It is understood that, besides the residence in the Gorbals and the flat in Rutherglen, a terraced house in Stonehouse, Lanarkshire, was searched last week and subsequently boarded up with metal sheets. Another property in Castlemilk has also been visited by the police.
A comprehensive investigation into Graham’s death is ongoing, with detectives and local police receiving support from specialized units, including the dog squad, air support, and the dive and marine team. Officers continue to seek information and encourage anyone with knowledge to come forward.
Detective Superintendent Peter Sharp stated, “Our thoughts are with Graham’s family and friends during this profoundly difficult time, and they are supported by specialist officers. It is crucial that we find answers for them, and extensive efforts are in place to uncover how his remains ended up on the shores of Loch Lomond.”
“Extensive inquiries are ongoing. I would urge anyone who was in the area to come forward, as any detail, no matter how minor it may seem, could be crucial. We are also seeking information from anyone who was on a boat, or any other watercraft, or was in the water near Firkin Point,” he added.
Police Scotland confirmed that properties are being searched as part of the ongoing investigation but declined to provide further details.
