The phenomenon returns.
In an event that is likely to be the last of its kind for the iconic show, the cast of Twin Peaks is embarking on a nationwide tour to engage with fans and share insights from their time on the set.
The tour, dubbed Twin Peaks: Conversations With The Stars, will visit various locations across the United States, from Virginia to Washington. Participants will include Ray Wise (Leland Palmer), Kimmy Robertson (Lucy Moran), Harry Goaz (Deputy Andy Brennan), and Sabrina Sutherland, producer of Twin Peaks: The Return. They will share their personal experiences from their involvement in the series.
Sheryl Lee, who portrayed the iconic Laura Palmer across all three seasons and in the 1992 prequel film Fire Walk With Me, will make appearances at select tour stops.
The ABC series Twin Peaks, a blend of murder mystery and supernatural elements crafted by David Lynch and Mark Frost in 1990, has been heralded as one of the greatest TV series of all time and is often recognized for pioneering the genre of prestige television.
The show uniquely combined elements of comedy, drama, supernatural, and crime, and has inspired countless popular television series that range from The Sopranos to The X-Files, despite their apparent thematic differences.
After its cancellation following two seasons in 1991, the series was revived with the theatrical release of Fire Walk With Me in 1992 and made a television comeback 25 years later with a third season titled Twin Peaks: The Return.
The third season received critical acclaim, with some critics naming it the best television season of the decade or even all time. Notably, Cahiers du Cinema labeled The Return the best film of the decade, while Sight & Sound ranked it the 152nd best film in history, both choosing to recognize it as a cinematic work rather than as television.
This tour represents a final gathering for the cast, as several key members of the cast and crew have passed away since the broadcast of the third season in 2017. David Lynch, a film director revered for his work beyond Twin Peaks, died earlier in January.
Highlights of the Conversations With The Stars tour include unique experiences such as “Afternoon Tea with the Palmers,” where attendees can dine at the Palmers’ home with Lee, Wise, and Mary Reber (Alice Tremond), and “Return to the Kiana Lodge,” an opportunity to mingle with the cast at the location that served as the Great Northern Lodge in the series. Tickets for all tour stops are available for purchase.
All three seasons of Twin Peaks are available for streaming on Paramount+. The prequel movie, Fire Walk With Me, can be watched on HBO Max and Hulu.
