By Emily Anderson

Alec Baldwin updated his followers on Monday, confirming that he and his brother, Stephen Baldwin, were unharmed after their car collided with a tree in the Hamptons that same day.

Alec, aged 67, explained the situation in a video posted on Instagram, saying, “I’m fine, my brother Stephen was here visiting,” as he recounted the events while driving his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s white Range Rover SUV.

Describing the incident further, Alec said, “A guy in a truck cut me off. It was a massive garbage truck, the biggest I’ve ever seen, almost as big as a whale. It looked like it was probably a commercial vehicle hauling material from a construction site.”

To avoid a collision with the truck, Alec swerved sharply, which led to the vehicle hitting “a big fat tree” and causing significant damage to his wife’s car.

Reassuring everyone about their safety, the 30 Rock actor added, “I’m fine, my brother’s fine,” and mentioned that the car Hilaria, 41, usually drives was now “pretty smashed up.” He expressed his thanks to the police officers who arrived at the scene, commending them for their kindness and professionalism throughout the incident.

Alec also shared that despite the accident, his plans for a family gathering weren’t affected. He was looking forward to traveling to Los Angeles to meet his family following Hilaria’s recent exit from Dancing With the Stars. “I’m going to LA to see my family, can’t wait,” he stated, planning to spend a few days in California with his family there.

He concluded his message with a note of affection for his wife, “I’m still so proud of my wife. Hilaria, I love you more than anything. I’m fine.”

Images from the crash surfaced on Page Six and TMZ, showing the substantial damage to the vehicle. Stephen’s spokesperson confirmed to TMZ, “Stephen is doing fine and is grateful no one was injured. He appreciates the concern and confirms that both he and Alec are safe and well.”
