A fourth individual, a male, has been indicted after participating in a protest advocating for Palestine Action in Edinburgh, as confirmed by police authorities.

Following a protest last week supporting Palestine Action in Edinburgh, a fourth individual has been formally charged. On Wednesday, November 26, police disclosed that a second male has been implicated and charged under the Terrorism Act for his alleged activities during the demonstration.

The group Defend Our Juries has been organizing demonstrations across the United Kingdom to back Palestine Action, which has been designated a terrorist organization by the UK Government. The Edinburgh protest took place on November 18, where numerous activists convened in the rain outside Queen Elizabeth House, the central government office for the UK in Scotland.

The support for the cause was widespread, with protests organized in 18 different towns and cities. These took place from November 18 to November 29, aimed at advocating for the removal of the ban against Palestine Action. Demonstrations occurred in various locations including Nottingham, Gloucester, Truro, Northampton, Oxford, Leeds, Newcastle, Cardiff, Aberystwyth, and Edinburgh.

Prior to this recent charge, police had already charged two women and a man in connection with the Edinburgh protest. With today’s announcement, the total number of people charged in relation to this event now stands at four—comprising two males and two females.

Authorities have indicated that their investigation is ongoing and they will be submitting a report to the procurator fiscal for further examination.
