‘Home Alone’ Celebrity Rushed to Hospital: Urgent Health Scare Update!

By Emily Anderson

Daniel Stern, most recognized for his portrayal of Marv in Home Alone, was urgently taken to the hospital last week.

The 68-year-old actor was admitted after the Ventura County Fire Department responded to a medical alert at a residence in Somis, California, as reported by TMZ.

The specifics of the medical incident were not revealed in the report, but it was noted that emergency services evaluated Stern and then transported him to a nearby hospital for further care. He has since been discharged and is reportedly in good health, as confirmed by a spokesperson.

Stern gained fame for his role as Marv Murchins, a member of the notorious “Wet Bandits,” in the Home Alone franchise.

Additionally, he starred as Phil Berquist in City Slickers and provided the voice for the adult Kevin Arnold in The Wonder Years. In 1993, he took on the role of director for the popular baseball movie Rookie of the Year.

In recent years, Stern has embraced a quieter life, purchasing a ranch in California where he cultivates citrus fruits and pursues his passion for sculpture. He humorously refers to himself as the “Citrus Bandit,” a playful reference to his character from Home Alone, and actively shares content with his followers on TikTok and Instagram.

“The thing I adore about social media is the ability to share your own narrative, and it feels rewarding to do so,” he expressed in a 2024 interview with PEOPLE. “It feels like the final step of any artistic process is to present it to an audience. It’s a fantastic experience, and I’m thrilled that people have come across some of my work through TikTok,” he added.
