The entertainment world is mourning the loss of Victoria Jones, the 34-year-old daughter of acclaimed actor Tommy Lee Jones, who has passed away.
Victoria was found deceased on the first day of the new year when emergency medical technicians were summoned to the Fairmount Hotel in San Francisco. At the location, she was pronounced dead.
A representative for the San Francisco Fire Department confirmed the incident to The Hollywood Reporter, stating, “Our teams arrived at the location, assessed the situation, and confirmed the death of an individual.”
Victoria had appeared alongside her celebrated father in several films during her childhood, such as Men in Black II and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. She was also known for her role in the popular teen drama series from the early 2000s, One Tree Hill.
The family of Tommy Lee Jones released a statement expressing their gratitude for the support they have received and requested privacy, stating, “We are thankful for the kind expressions, thoughts, and prayers, and ask that our privacy be respected during this challenging period.”
Reports from TMZ suggest that the emergency responders suspected an overdose, based on dispatch audio. Additionally, TMZ noted that she was scheduled to be in court on January 20 related to a drug arrest. She was reportedly offered a plea bargain that would result in probation and regular drug testing.
Tommy Lee Jones is a revered figure in Hollywood, celebrated for his roles in films such as JFK, No Country for Old Men, and Lincoln. He secured an Academy Award in 1993 for his portrayal of U.S. Marshal Samuel Gerard in the action-packed thriller The Fugitive, which also starred Harrison Ford.
