Is Michael Bublé Parting Ways with “The Voice”?
Recent developments suggest Michael Bublé might be departing from The Voice following an incident behind the scenes. According to a report by The U.S. Sun, dissatisfaction with certain production elements during the Season 28 finale of The Voice has fueled speculation that Bublé will not return to the popular NBC singing competition.
A source involved in the production disclosed to The U.S. Sun that Bublé has decided to leave the show after the current season. “It’s a significant loss as he is much loved on the set. Michael adores the show, the team, and genuinely enjoys his role,” the source explained.
The same insider also mentioned that Bublé has been struggling with negative feedback online. “He mentioned that the harsh comments from fans have been hard on him, prompting him to take a break to focus on personal and family time,” the source added.
During a performance with his finalist, Max Chambers, in the Season 28 finale, Bublé seemed visibly disturbed. He was reportedly overheard telling a production staff member off-camera that the music from the band was too loud, overshadowing their singing.
“Michael appeared troubled and wasn’t quite himself. It’s unclear if he was feeling nervous or unwell, but he definitely had an off night,” the insider remarked.
Bublé himself hinted at his departure in a poignant moment with Jazz McKenzie after her performance in the first episode of the finale. Fighting back tears, he said, “I wrote to you last night; you are the light… this is it. This is my last time here. Leaving this show, Jazz McKenzie, you are a perfect farewell.”
Season 28 Finale and Beyond
The Season 28 finale concluded with Niall Horan’s protege, Aiden Ross, winning the title. Bublé has had a successful stint on The Voice, securing victories in the two previous seasons with Sofrino Vasquez and Adam David. In this season, he had two contestants in the finals: McKenzie and Chambers.
With the coaches for Season 29 already announced by NBC, including the returns of Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine for a special Battle of the Champions, speculation is rife about the future involvement of Bublé on the show. Given the show’s history of rotating its coaching panel annually, Bublé’s absence next season wouldn’t be unusual, but fans are left wondering if this departure is permanent.
