A Former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Star Faces Eviction and Foreclosure
A previous cast member of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” has recently experienced significant changes in her personal and financial life, losing both her marital status and her home.
Kim Zolciak, alongside her soon-to-be ex-husband Kroy Biermann, a former linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons, was evicted from their luxurious Georgia home by U.S. Marshals following a foreclosure.
According to a report by Page Six, the property’s new owners initiated legal proceedings to evict the couple in December of the previous year. The legal documents claimed that Zolciak and Biermann continued to occupy the residence past the duration of their agreed rental term, leading to a legal action termed as “proceeding against a tenant holding over.” Despite being served with the necessary legal notices, the couple did not respond.
The situation culminated on April 8, when four deputy U.S. Marshals arrived at the mansion and physically removed Zolciak and Biermann from the property.
Prior to the eviction, in February, the mansion was sold for $2.75 million, a figure $3 million below the initial asking price. The house had been on the market for an extended period, nearly eighteen months, indicating possible difficulties in securing a buyer.
This eviction is just the latest in a series of financial troubles for the couple. Biermann has publicly shared details with TMZ, including receipts that demonstrate Zolciak’s extravagant spending. Over their seven-year relationship, she reportedly spent more than $600,000 on luxury items and over $200,000 on gambling during 2021 and 2022 alone. Biermann has expressed concerns that these spending habits have compromised his ability to support their family financially.
The couple’s mansion was put up for sale in October 2023, which closely followed Biermann’s filing for divorce two months prior.
Zolciak and Biermann have six children together: Brielle, 28, Ariana, 23, KJ, 14, Kash, 12, and 11-year-old twins Kaia and Kane.
