Predator Who Bragged About Assaulting Child Receives Long Prison Term for Heinous Acts

Barthimaus Ehiemere targeted seven young boys through Snapchat, committing his crimes over a span of four years.

A monstrous child molester who horrifyingly referred to the rape of a 12-year-old as the “best sex ever” has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.

25-year-old Barthimaus Ehiemere manipulated seven young boys via Snapchat. He raped two of them, both 12 years old, from 2019 to 2023. His actions were revealed during a police investigation into online child grooming. On Thursday, November 20, Ehiemere was handed a 22-year sentence—18 years of which will be spent behind bars and an additional four years on an extended license—at Snaresbrook Crown Court after being found guilty of 47 child sexual offence charges involving victims aged 12 to 16.

In delivering the sentence, Judge Timothy Greene expressed, “You pose a severe risk to young boys. You committed grave sexual assaults against two 12-year-old boys. [Regarding the second victim], you fully neglected the fact that you were under a sexual harm prevention order. You demonstrate scant understanding of the gravity of your actions.”

“Your actions represent a prolonged predatory campaign against boys aged 12 to 16. I suspect you were indifferent to their ages, focusing instead on your sexual satisfaction and the potential financial benefits of exploiting them sexually,” as reported by the Mirror.

Ehiemere will be required to register as a sex offender for the duration of his life. He was found guilty of multiple charges including three counts of rape and one count of inciting sexual activity with a child, all stemming from an incident in July 2019. For another victim, he was convicted on four counts of rape and one count of causing a child to engage in sexual activity, occurring over several incidents, as reported by MyLondon.

Prosecutor James Brown KC revealed in court that Ehiemere had communicated with another unidentified child molester, bragging about raping a 12-year-old and calling it the “best sex ever.”

The court was informed that Ehiemere lured one of the boys to a woodland in Surrey, where he coerced the boy into performing oral sex before raping him over a tree branch.

One victim, feeling insecure about his body and seeking friendship through a social media app, was manipulated and sexually abused by Ehiemere. The boy, now plagued by nightmares, expressed a desire to “immediately scrub myself clean” after the incident, the court heard.

Another victim recounted how the abuse disrupted his education and social life, leading to feelings of “anger” and “shame,” as well as body dysmorphia, according to Mr. Brown.

Ehiemere admitted to 32 offences during his trial in July, including rape of a child under 13 and violation of a sexual harm prevention order issued in 2021 related to offences involving indecent images. He was subsequently found guilty of an additional 15 charges in August, which included further sexual assaults and paying for the sexual services of minors.

Previously, the court learned that Ehiemere, then 19, engaged boys using the now-defunct ‘Spotafriend’ social media app, sharing and soliciting pornography and indecent images, and prompting them to replicate sexual acts. Although Ehiemere claimed the boys had misled him about their ages, prosecutors argued that their youthful appearance in photos made it evident they were minors.

Defending Ehiemere, Barry Kogan highlighted his client’s remorse through a letter addressed to the judge and urged for the minimum possible sentence, stating, “He’s still young, and there’s a chance he can contribute positively to society in the future.”

Kogan also discussed the challenges Ehiemere faced growing up in a strict Christian household, where his mother purportedly viewed homosexuality as “deplorable.”
