Love Blossoms for “One Tree Hill” Star
Stephen Colletti, known for his role as Chase Adams in the beloved CW series “One Tree Hill,” has embarked on a new chapter in his personal life with his recent wedding. The 39-year-old actor exchanged vows with NASCAR host and reporter Alex Weaver. The couple shared their joyous news through a post on Instagram last Friday.
The Instagram update featured the caption “Mr. & Mrs. ” and included several photographs of their courthouse wedding, which was a simple yet elegant civil ceremony.
“It was a beautifully intimate day, celebrated with both of our families present,” Colletti and Weaver expressed in a joint statement to PEOPLE magazine.
The duo started their relationship back in 2021 and after two years of dating, Colletti proposed during a romantic getaway to Rome.
Weaver shared details of the proposal in a recent interview. She was completely taken by surprise, noting, “He gave no indication that he was going to propose that day.” She recounted how Colletti cleverly convinced her to dress up under the guise of taking a ‘Christmas card photo,’ based on advice he secretly obtained from her mother to ensure she looked her best.
The proposal unfolded at Rome’s picturesque Giardino degli Aranci park, where Weaver was unsuspecting of the forthcoming proposal. “I was busy taking photos of the skyline when Stephen, having previously arranged signals with a photographer he hired, subtly signaled the photographer to get ready,” she explained. “He then reached into his backpack, pulled out a black ring box and at that moment, I realized what was happening. Overwhelmed with emotion, I watched him kneel and present the most beautiful ring,” she added.
