By Emily Anderson

Ally Bross and Mack Fitzgerald from Destination X have just announced their engagement!

The couple first crossed paths on the first season of the NBC adventure show and decided to make their relationship official in July. By December, they were thrilled to share news of their engagement through Instagram posts.

In a romantic setting in Thailand, Fitzgerald proposed to Bross by a picturesque waterfall. Bross excitedly shared photos of the moment on Instagram with the caption, “we’re engaged!!!!!!!!! betta luck next time boys.”

Bross also expressed her joy on Instagram, posting, “fall in love again and again.. forever.”

The engagement drew attention from many, including Destination X host Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who congratulated the couple in the comments of the post, writing, “Well well well! Congrats kids! All the love, xojd.”

Bross responded to Morgan’s comment with gratitude and shared a quirky detail about the proposal: “thank you jeffrey!!!!! she did the whole thing destination x style, i started blindfolded and she gave me a riddle on a walkie talkie.”

Prior to her relationship with Fitzgerald, Bross was romantically involved with another cast member, Shayne Cureton, but the relationship ended a few months after the show concluded. Bross and Fitzgerald, who both resided near Austin, Texas, grew close initially as friends, and their relationship blossomed from there.

The couple shared their love story on Instagram, revealing, “Fifteen months ago, we met on reality TV. It was fine at first… but we ended up actively disliking each other. After the show, we became fast friends. By chance, we only lived eight minutes apart,” they said in a November Instagram reel. “A year ago, we took a trip to Finland as friends. Ten months ago we became girlfriends. Today, we launched a sapphic clothing brand (Sapphic Rebellion)!”

In another Instagram post, Bross reflected on her journey, stating, “Turns out I DID win Destination X. In a shocking twist, I found my soulmate. To the ends of the earth. I love you, Mack.”

Destination X challenges 12 contestants to identify their location in Europe while blindfolded, using only clues provided. Each episode, the contestant who guesses the location farthest from the actual spot is eliminated, and the game moves to a new location.

The series debuted in January and quickly became one of NBC’s top new unscripted series in recent years, attracting 4.2 million viewers across NBC and Peacock.
