During a recent performance on her Lifetimes tour, Katy Perry nearly experienced an unexpected spectacle of a different sort.
The 40-year-old pop star was on the brink of a significant wardrobe slip while performing in Las Vegas this past Saturday.
A TikTok video uploaded on Sunday captured a moment where Perry, clad in a sparkling bra, matching panties, and thigh-high boots, hurriedly runs across the stage while singing her 2012 chart-topping song “Part of Me.” She suddenly stops, managing to catch her bra strap just as it was about to come loose.
“Oh s—, my bra is gonna come off,” Perry can be heard saying in the clip.
She quickly calls out to her assistant, “Put my bra back on, Patrick,” as he rushes to her aid on stage. She humorously assures the crowd, “Sorry, you guys didn’t pay that much,” drawing laughter from her audience.
Perry is currently in the midst of her Lifetimes Tour, her fifth global tour, which kicked off following the release of her seventh studio album, 143. The tour format, reminiscent of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, showcases a retrospective of Perry’s greatest hits spanning her extensive musical career.
The tour started in Mexico City on April 23 and is scheduled to conclude in Abu Dhabi on December 7. This marks Perry’s return to touring after a seven-year hiatus, her last being the Witness: The Tour in 2017.
