Horror Crash in Scots Town: Young Woman Airlifted to Hospital!

Authorities are probing the details of a traffic accident that occurred in Dumfries and Galloway on a recent Saturday afternoon.

A young woman was urgently flown to a medical facility following a severe car collision in Dumfries and Galloway.


First responders rushed to the site of a two-vehicle smash-up along the B7005 at its junction with the A714 near Wigtown at about 12:10 PM on Saturday, November 12.


The 21-year-old driver of one of the vehicles was transported via air ambulance to a hospital. Her current health status remains undisclosed.


Two other individuals involved in the crash were also taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.


Photos from the accident site depict a severely damaged Citroen with its front end crushed due to a collision with a Renault hatchback. The vehicle shows significant structural damage, with its roof and doors apparently removed by emergency response teams.

Following the incident, the road was temporarily closed by local police authorities.

A spokesperson from Police Scotland reported: “Around 12.10pm on Saturday, 1 November, 2025, we responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles on the B7005 near the A714 close to Wigtown.

“Emergency services were promptly dispatched, and the driver of one of the vehicles, a 21-year-old woman, was airlifted to the hospital. Two additional people were transported by road ambulance to the hospital as a precaution.

“Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the complete circumstances surrounding the incident.”
