The entertainment industry mourns the loss of actress Kimberly Hébert Gregory, who has passed away at the age of 52.
The details surrounding her death have not been disclosed. She is widely recognized for her remarkable performance in the HBO comedy series Vice Principals, alongside Danny McBride and Walton Goggins.
Her former spouse, actor Chester Gregory, expressed his grief and admiration for her through a heartfelt post on his Instagram account.
“Kimberly Hébert Gregory / You Were Brilliance Embodied, / A Black Woman Whose Mind Lit Every Room, / Whose Presence Carried Both Fire And Grace. / You Taught Us Lessons In Courage, / In Artistry, In Resilience, / And In How To Keep Showing Up, / Even When Life Demanded More Than Its Share,” he shared in his tribute.
Kimberly’s notable entry into major film came with the 2007 Chris Rock comedy I Think I Love My Wife. Following this, she secured numerous guest appearances on several well-known television shows including Gossip Girl, Grey’s Anatomy, The Big Bang Theory, New Amsterdam, Two and a Half Men, Law & Order, Private Practice, Shameless, The Act, Dollface, All Rise, and the HBO dramedy Barry. She also portrayed deputy district attorney Kyra Hay in the third season of Better Call Saul.
Walton Goggins, her co-star from Vice Principals, also took to Instagram to honor her memory.
“We lost one of the best yesterday… one of the best I’ve ever worked with. Kimberly Hebert Gregory. I had the honor… the good fortune of getting to know, getting to spend months working with this Queen on Vice Principals. She made me laugh like no other. A professional’s professional,” he wrote. “You will be missed my friend. As much as you know.”
