A man has tragically lost his life after being discovered with severe injuries on a Glasgow street.

First responders were called to the scene at Lenzie Terrace in the Springburn area of the city at approximately 1:45 am on Saturday, January 3.

Upon arrival, emergency teams confirmed that the man was deceased. Authorities are currently treating the death as mysterious and unexplained.

Law enforcement remains at the scene as they continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

A representative from Police Scotland communicated to Glasgow Live, a related news outlet, stating: “We received a report concerning a 54-year-old man found injured on Lenzie Terrace in Glasgow around 1.45 am on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

“Despite the swift response of emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the location.

“The circumstances of the death are still under investigation as unexplained, with officers maintaining a presence in the area as inquiries progress. A formal report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.”
