This month, the 19-year-old was found deceased in a forest near Falkirk, triggering a missing person investigation.
The family of Cole Cooper is committed to “seeking the truth” as law enforcement delves deeper into the unresolved circumstances of his death.
Cole, 19, was found deceased in a forested region near Falkirk about three weeks ago, after being observed last on a doorbell camera on May 4, shortly after leaving a local house gathering.
Although an autopsy has been performed, the cause of death remains unclear pending further tests. The police continue their investigation to fully determine what happened.
Cole’s aunt Aimee Tennie expressed the family’s deep sorrow and confusion during this trying time.
She lamented, “Every night, I’m haunted by thoughts of why this tragedy had to happen to you, why after such a long time we still have no answers. You were entitled to a life filled with joy and health.”
“Realizing that you won’t return home has finally sunk in. The thought of never again seeing your bright smile or hearing your laughter is devastating. The pain is overwhelming, and I can’t even bear to look at pictures of you without feeling a deep sense of loss.”
“How are we to carry on without your vibrant spirit? It feels wrong to smile, and thinking about enjoying life again seems impossible,” she added.
“This nightmare doesn’t feel real. We’re uncertain about the upcoming months, but one thing is clear: we will relentlessly seek the truth about what led to your untimely demise. Life is already hard enough without having to endure such a senseless loss without any explanations,” she concluded.
Cole was reportedly last seen at a social gathering in Denny on the evening of May 3. The following morning, he appeared visibly disturbed in footage captured by a ring doorbell camera as he attempted to enter his father’s residence. His family reported him missing on May 9.
Police later confirmed that Cole was also spotted on May 7 near the A803 at Longcroft’s Cumbernauld Road. He reportedly approached a school friend for a ride, which was not provided.
In response to his disappearance, authorities initiated a comprehensive search that included the use of helicopters, divers, digital technology experts, and numerous police officers.
