Chrissy Teigen Experiences a Festive Dental Incident
Just in time for the festive season, Chrissy Teigen encountered a rather unusual dental issue.
The celebrity and mother of four took to Instagram on Sunday to post a video where she humorously shared that she had dislodged one of her veneers. The mishap occurred during a holiday activity with her children involving candy canes.
Teigen light-heartedly captioned the post, “Merry chrithmath from our family to yours!!!!!!!”, showcasing the base of her natural tooth in various video snippets and photographs.
The incident unfolded while Teigen was with her children, Luna, age 9, Miles, age 7, and two-year-old twins Esti and Wren. They were engaged in filling plant pots with candy canes and crushed Oreos as part of a festive game. In a subsequent video clip, she is seen next to a heap of candy canes, explaining how one of the candy canes led to her veneer popping out.
“I’ve been working on candy cane-growing. I tried to open one of these bad boys … my tooth fell off,” she explained, laughing and showing the trimmed-down remains of her tooth.
Teigen described her efforts to make the holiday season magical for her children, saying, “This is what moms do for their kids, so you can think you grew a candy cane. I was trying to create magic — now I have no tooth.”
Despite the dental debacle, Teigen mentioned she had to attend her children’s recital in that condition but managed to schedule an emergency appointment with her dentist to repair the veneer soon after.
