Breaking News: Hit-and-Run Horror in Dalkeith: Black Car Strikes Two Children!

Authorities are on the lookout for a driver who left the scene after hitting two young girls.

Authorities are currently searching for a black vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred in Dalkeith, where two children were injured.

The incident took place on Westhouses Road in Mayfield, where at around 5:20 PM to 5:30 PM on Friday, January 9, a vehicle struck two girls, ages 13 and 12.

Following the incident, both victims were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical care and have fortunately been discharged since then.

The vehicle in question did not stop after the accident occurred. Efforts to locate and identify the driver of the black car are still ongoing.

Constable Ryan Prentice commented on the case, stating, “Our investigations are continuing to determine the exact details of the incident, and we are actively looking for the motorist responsible.”

Constable Prentice also appealed to the public for assistance: “We urge anyone who was near the location at the time and saw the event, or those with dash-cam footage that could aid our investigation, to come forward and speak with us.”
