A recent article by TMZ disclosed that the 77-year-old broadcaster was seen being carried out of his residential building in Manhattan on a stretcher around 9 PM on Monday. As of Tuesday afternoon, he was still receiving medical care at the hospital.

He developed and led HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, a pioneering sports news magazine show acclaimed for its investigative approach.
