Yesterday, comedian John Lutz took to Instagram to share the distressing news of his younger brother’s sudden death.
The actor, known for his role on 30 Rock, revealed that his brother Joel had unexpectedly passed away last Thursday.
“My younger brother Joel passed away suddenly this past Thursday. We are devastated as a family. He was not only humorous but also compassionate and loving,” John expressed in his Instagram post. “There are so many things I wish to say about him, but at this moment, I am overwhelmed by grief. I love you, Joel,” he continued.
In a subsequent Instagram update, John shared more about his feelings of loss.
“I loved him dearly and the void he leaves is indescribable. He was even a better angler than me,” he noted, attaching a photo of the two enjoying a fishing trip together.
John also posted a link to a GoFundMe page set up for Joel’s wife and their four young children, urging his followers to contribute or share the fundraiser to support the family during this challenging time. “If it’s within your means, please consider donating or sharing this to help them cope with this difficult period,” he wrote.
