TikTok Influencer Joshua Blackledge Passes Away at 16
Joshua Blackledge, a young influencer renowned for his automotive-related content on TikTok, has tragically died at the age of 16.
The teen, who resided in Newport, North Carolina, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 18, as stated in his obituary provided by Noe-Brooks Funeral Home. The details regarding the cause of his death were not made public.
A Life Full of Passion and Entertainment
Joshua was known for his vibrant passion for the outdoors and an avid interest in water activities like fishing and boating. He enjoyed these activities frequently in the company of his friends. Besides his enthusiasm for the aquatic lifestyle, he was also deeply fond of cars and trucks. At home, he often assisted his mother in the kitchen, and took part in gardening and other outdoor chores. His dynamic personality shone through his various interests, and he was particularly noted for performing backflips, which impressed many around him.
His obituary notes, “Joshua will be remembered by those who knew him for his enthusiasm and love for life. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.”
Joshua’s Social Media Impact
A junior at West Carteret High School, Joshua had cultivated a substantial following on TikTok, where he went by the username f30joshh. He frequently posted videos showcasing his dancing, lip-syncing, and moments spent with his friends and family. His content often highlighted his passion for vehicles, with posts ranging from dance videos by his beloved white pickup truck to detailed shares about vehicle upgrades, like in a post from March 8. The last update on his TikTok profile was on March 14, featuring him and his friends with the same white pickup truck.
Joshua also worked alongside his girlfriend, Emmie Gillikin, on several posts. The couple had been together since the previous summer. After Joshua’s untimely death, Gillikin shared a heartfelt tribute on her private account, as reported by E! News.
“Missing this sweet boy right now. never would’ve thought i would have been here without you,” wrote Gillikin, alongside a video montage posted on March 20. “Josh showed me what love really was even [though] I’m very young. He never failed to put a smile on my face no matter how mad I was at him … Even after these past couple days nothing seems real and I’m feeling all the emotions.”
Joshua’s fans and followers have also expressed their sorrow and condolences online. One follower commented, “Rest in peace you’re gone too soon,” while another mentioned, “There’s no way. I’m praying for Emmie. Rest in peace Josh.”

A “celebration of life” service was held for Joshua on Sunday, March 23. He leaves behind his parents, Jonathan and Jackie Blackledge, and his brother, Josiah Blackledge.
