An enthusiast of the band Oasis tragically passed away in his hotel room in Edinburgh mere hours before he was supposed to attend their concert at Murrayfield.
Alessandro Croce, a 30-year-old citizen of Italy, died unexpectedly after collapsing in his hotel on Saturday, August 9. According to reports from Italy, he had been preparing to go to the concert when he suddenly fell ill.
Despite fervent efforts by his friends and paramedics to revive him, Alessandro regrettably succumbed at the location. Tributes have poured in for Alessandro, who was a dentist and avid basketball enthusiast from Teramo in the Abruzzo region. He had traveled to Scotland expressly to celebrate the reunion of Oasis.
The Mayor of Teramo, Gianguido D’Alberto, expressed his sorrow, stating, “The city of Teramo mourns the loss of Alessandro Croce. The Croce family has the sympathy and support of the municipal administration and our entire community during this challenging period.”
Camillo D’Angelo, president of the province of Teramo, remarked, “The president, the federal council, and all the administration extend their heartfelt sympathies to the headmistress of the Zoli institute in Atri, Paola Angeloni, and her family for the tragic loss of their beloved son, Alessandro.”
The mayor of Atri, Piergiorgio Ferretti, offered his condolences, saying, “On behalf of myself and the municipal administration, I extend our deepest condolences and express our most affectionate closeness to professor Paola Angeloni, a respected professional, and all her family.”
A statement from Basketball Teramo declared, “The entire Basketball Teramo community is shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden and untimely demise of our cherished athlete Alessandro at the age of 30. Alessandro was not just a key player but also a vital part of our history and the soul of our association.”
