Toxic Attack: Woman Targeted with Harmful Substance on Scottish Street

Emergency teams including police, firefighters, and hazmat units responded swiftly to the incident this afternoon, focusing on a woman who was reportedly targeted in a substance attack.

In a disturbing event, a woman was assaulted with a “harmful substance” on a street in East Kilbride, which appeared to be a “targeted” act.

The unsettling occurrence unfolded just before 11am on Friday, November 7, prompting an immediate response from emergency services after they were notified about the attack on Pine Crescent in the town of South Lanarkshire.

Upon arrival, emergency teams including Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service provided immediate assistance to the 30-year-old victim. While the full extent of her injuries remains unknown, it is confirmed that she was not transported to the hospital.

The police are treating this incident as “targeted” and are conducting a thorough investigation in the vicinity.

Later in the day, Hazmat units were seen on the street, indicating the severity of the situation.

The area, including a nearby underpass, was cordoned off as part of the investigation.

Uniformed officers along with CID personnel have been seen patrolling the area to ensure public safety and gather any useful information.

Authorities are urging anyone with information or concerns related to this alarming incident to come forward and contact the police.

A spokesperson from Police Scotland stated, “We received a report of a harmful substance being thrown at a woman on Pine Crescent around 10.55am on Friday, November 7, 2025. Emergency services attended, and the 30-year-old was checked at the scene. Officers believe this was a targeted incident and extensive enquiries are ongoing in the area. Anyone with any information or concerns can approach these officers, or call 101 and quote reference number 1082 of 7 November, 2025.”
