Officer Brandon Mason from Downfield Police Station described the event as “profoundly upsetting.”
A man reportedly exposed himself to a woman in a cemetery parking area, according to police statements.
This unsettling event occurred around 11:30 AM at Birkhill Cemetery located on Templeton Road in Dundee.
Following the exposure, the man is alleged to have performed a sexual act on himself, prompting police to initiate an investigation.
The suspect is described as a slim man around 60 years old.
At the time of the incident, he was reportedly dressed entirely in black and was seen driving a large, white vehicle.
An appeal for witnesses was made on the Police Scotland Tayside Facebook page.
Their message stated: “We are seeking witnesses following a report of indecent exposure within a cemetery parking lot in Dundee.
“Around 11:30 AM on Wednesday, 24 September 2025, a man exposed himself to a woman and performed a sexual act on himself within the parking lot at Birkhill Cemetery on Templeton Road.
“The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 60 years old, with a slim build, and has short slicked-back brown hair. He was dressed in all-black attire and was operating a larger style white vehicle.”
Constable Brandon Mason from Downfield Police Station added, “This event was incredibly disturbing for the woman. I would urge anyone who was in the vicinity of the cemetery and/or the parking area at the time and might have seen this man or a similar type of car to come forward and help with the investigation.”
