Over the recent weekend, well-known actor Liev Schreiber was admitted to a hospital.
The prominent figure from the Scream series spent Sunday night in a New York City hospital and underwent a series of medical tests on Monday, as reported by TMZ.
According to the report, medical professionals are currently unsure what prompted the hospital visit. However, the 58-year-old actor is reportedly in good physical condition, able to walk, talk, and use all his limbs without any complications.
A spokesperson for Schreiber assured TMZ, stating, “Liev was hospitalized for tests as a precautionary measure, and by Monday afternoon, he was given the all-clear to resume working.”
Liev Schreiber first gained recognition in the 1990s with his roles in popular indie comedies such as Party Girl and The Daytrippers. He achieved widespread fame for his portrayal of the unjustly accused Cotton Weary in the Scream movie series, which paved the way for more significant opportunities. In 2005, Schreiber won a Tony Award for his performance in David Mamet’s acclaimed play Glengarry Glen Ross.
In 2013, Schreiber began starring as the titular character in the Showtime series Ray Donovan, a role that earned him three Emmy nominations over the show’s seven seasons. More recently, he has been noted for his collaborations with celebrated filmmaker Wes Anderson, appearing in films like Isle of Dogs (2018), The French Dispatch (2021), and Asteroid City (2023).
His latest film role was in the early 2023 release of Darren Aronofsky’s crime comedy thriller Caught Stealing, where he starred alongside Austin Butler and Matt Smith.
Today, Schreiber is recognized as one of Hollywood’s most accomplished actors, boasting a Tony Award, nine Emmy nominations, and five Golden Globe nominations.
