Lenny Kravitz: Timeless Style Icon

At 61, Lenny Kravitz continues to defy age with his impeccable style.

During the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards held on a recent Sunday, the rock musician turned heads, flaunting his toned physique in a shirtless Saint Laurent ensemble complemented by his trademark sunglasses.

Throughout the event, Kravitz joined forces with a star-studded lineup of presenters including Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Camila Cabello, Halsey, LL Cool J, Shawn Mendes, and Eminem, contributing to the night’s festivities.

Competition at the VMAs

Kravitz was also a contender at this year’s VMAs, nominated in the Best Rock category for his track “Honey.” However, the award was clinched by Coldplay with their song “All My Love,” leaving Kravitz and other nominees such as Evanescence with “Afterlife,” Green Day’s “One Eyed Bastard,” Linkin Park’s “The Emptiness Machine,” and Twenty One Pilots’ “The Contract” behind.

Despite this year’s outcome, Kravitz had his moment in the previous year when he won the Best Rock category for his song “Human,” featured on his 2024 album Blue Electric Light alongside “Honey.”

Receiving the award last year, Kravitz expressed his profound gratitude, saying, “This is incredible. I am so grateful.” He dedicated his victory to his late mother, Roxie Roker, a renowned actress known for her role as Helen Willis on The Jeffersons, who passed away from breast cancer in 1995. “31 years ago my mother accompanied me here, and that was the last awards show we attended together at the VMAs. So, I dedicate this to her,” he reminisced.

Memorable Performances

Last year, Kravitz also delighted the audience with a medley of his hits, kicking off with “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” followed by “Human,” and concluding with a collaborative performance of “Fly” featuring Quavo.

This marked Kravitz’s return to the VMA stage for the first time since his 1998 performance with Madonna, highlighting a long-spanning career that continues to evolve and impress.
