Kendall Jenner is speaking out about the chatter surrounding changes to her appearance.
The 30-year-old model joined the In Your Dreams with Owen Thiele podcast on Friday, where she pushed back against persistent claims that she’s had extensive cosmetic surgery to alter her face.
She noted that once people online decide to believe something, it’s nearly impossible to change their minds. “If someone on the internet wants to believe something, you can’t really talk them out of it,” she said, adding that there’s an entire corner of the web convinced she’s had major facial reconstruction.
Jenner was clear that she has not had facial plastic surgery. She denied having any work done to her face and specifically rebutted rumors that she’s undergone a rhinoplasty.
Still, she admitted the nose-job accusations are understandable when she looks back at older photos. “To be honest, when I see pictures from years ago, I can see why people think I had a nose job — if it were anyone else, I’d probably buy it,” she said.
The star of The Kardashians explained that the apparent narrowing of her nose over time is more about maturing into her features and the effects of acne treatment than surgical alteration. She mentioned taking Accutane for acne, and while the medication doesn’t literally shrink the nose, dermatologists have pointed out that reducing oil gland activity in that area can make the nose appear smaller.
Jenner did concede she tried “baby Botox” twice in her forehead but ultimately decided she preferred how she looks without it. She said she didn’t love the results and enjoys the natural movement of her brows — noting they sit fairly straight and low above her eyes — so she’s opted not to continue with the injections.
She also revealed she’s had skin procedures like PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy and microneedling to help with her complexion. While she still experiences occasional breakouts, they’re nothing like the cystic acne she battled in the past.
Jenner acknowledged her good fortune and the advantages her resources provide. “I’ve been lucky to have access to top doctors and dermatologists,” she said, crediting their guidance for much of the improvement in her skin.
Despite her fame and success in the fashion world, Jenner admitted she still contends with insecurities — she’s human, after all. She said she’s learning to be kinder to herself about the things that bother her, and that with age she cares less about small criticisms. “I try to give myself grace every day,” she added, noting that as she gets older she worries less about others’ opinions.
