Jennifer Lopez Handles Wardrobe Malfunction Like a Pro
Jennifer Lopez faced an unexpected wardrobe mishap during her performance but didn’t let it disrupt her show.
While celebrating her 56th birthday with a performance in Warsaw, Poland, at her Up All Night: Live in 2025 concert, the pop star experienced her glittery skirt detaching and dropping to the stage. This incident occurred on Friday, right as she was soaking up the birthday cheers from her audience.
Lopez, unable to prevent the skirt from falling and revealing her golden dance briefs, smoothly continued her performance. She confidently walked across the stage at PGE Narodowy stadium, even adding a playful twirl and dismissing the mishap with ease.
“Looks like I’m performing in my underwear,” Lopez humorously remarked, while a dancer tried to secure the skirt back around her. “This is going to make headlines,” she added with a laugh.
“I’m just relieved they double-checked the costume’s reinforcement,” she quipped later in the show. “And thankfully, I was wearing underwear, which I don’t often do.”
As the evening progressed, Lopez playfully threw the problematic skirt into the crowd, declaring she didn’t “need it back” and that the audience could “hold onto it.”
The birthday event was also a platform for Lopez to premiere her latest track “Birthday,” a release that comes three weeks after the initiation of her tour in Spain on July 8. The Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour is Lopez’s first in six years, following the cancellation of her This Is Me… Live tour in May 2024.
In a heartfelt message at the time of the prior tour’s cancellation, Lopez expressed her deep regret. “I am completely heartsick and devastated about disappointing you,” she wrote. “Please know this decision was absolutely necessary. I promise to make it up to you and that we’ll reunite soon. I love you all deeply. Until we meet again…” she concluded.
