Onlookers observed a violent fight involving multiple individuals in Piccadilly Gardens on the evening of October 31.
Authorities are investigating a chilling video that captures a violent fight that took place in Manchester on Halloween night.
Alarming video clips surfaced on social media showing a violent encounter that included both men and women, with bloodshed evident, located in Piccadilly Gardens on that frightful evening.
The local police, Greater Manchester Police, have acknowledged the incident and are currently examining the video evidence.
In the unsettling footage, assailants are seen kicking and hitting each other while surrounded by a crowd of onlookers, some of whom recorded the melee on their phones, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.
The altercation initially appears to involve two individuals aggressively hitting another. The fight escalates as one of the combatants, dressed only in shorts, continues the conflict with another person. Soon after, a figure in a hoodie is seen joining the fray, attacking the man in shorts and his associate.
The man without a shirt is visibly bleeding from his face while being attacked by others. At one point, an individual from a group of people clad in black hooded jackets is seen hitting him with a crutch.
An observer capturing the video remarks, “This is going off,” while a bystander wearing a Christmas hat watches the unfolding violence.
The video shows the two main figures eventually walking away from Piccadilly Gardens, followed by a large group dressed in black. The footage concludes shortly thereafter.
A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police commented on the situation, stating, “We are aware of video footage circulating, which is currently being reviewed.”
