Fox News Analyst Kat Timpf Confronts Mom-Shamers
Recently, Fox News commentator and new mother Kat Timpf had a strong reaction to those criticizing her parenting style.
Timpf expressed her frustrations on her Instagram page last week, highlighting the double standards mothers face. “An interesting thing about motherhood is the criticism you face for just being yourself. If you dare to post a picture without your child, or even worse, having a good time without them, you get bombarded with comments like, ‘Where is her child? Is this how a mother behaves? Grow up,'” she shared.
She added, “Then, many of these critics turn around and wonder, ‘Why don’t more women want to have children? Why are birth rates declining?’ Perhaps it’s because the moment you become a mother, you’re subjected to endless scrutiny and can’t seem to do anything right without being judged. That definitely plays a role.”
Timpf pointed out that whether you share your child’s photos or not, the criticism doesn’t stop. “Post a picture of your child, and it’s also wrong. People accuse you of exploiting your child for likes or say they feel sorry for the child,” she explained.
The journalist, who only recently became a mother, noted that she has faced relentless negativity.
Jokingly, she concluded, “I’m beginning to realize that the only way to parent without facing criticism is to be a dad.”
Kat Timpf and her spouse, Cameron Friscia, celebrated the arrival of their first child earlier this year. Shortly after giving birth, Timpf began undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
