The family of a missing Scottish street performer has urgently called for any information regarding his disappearance, now two months since he was last reported seen.
Lewis Cuthbert, 25, was last observed on Lesmahagow Road in Strathaven, South Lanarkshire, on August 4.
Lewis is described as being 5ft 10in tall, with a slim build and short brown hair. He may now have facial hair. He was last seen wearing a brown corduroy jacket with a sheepskin collar.
He frequently performs as a busker in the city centers of Glasgow and Edinburgh and is thought to have been carrying a backpack equipped with a Bluetooth speaker and a microphone.
His mother, Rosemary, expressed her distress, stating, “It has been two months since Lewis vanished without any confirmed sightings since he left home.”
“We are all incredibly anxious to find him. Lewis, if you see this, please reach out to us. We love you and miss you more than you can imagine,” she added.
“Thank you to everyone who has assisted the police with their investigations and for the countless shares on social media. Your support is greatly valued,” she continued.
“Anyone with even the slightest piece of information about Lewis, please contact us. We are desperate for his safe return,” she urged.
His father, Andrew, also made a plea: “Lewis, son, you’re not in trouble, and we just want you back home safe and sound.”
A dedicated team of police officers has been conducting thorough inquiries in the areas he frequents, including Edinburgh and Glasgow.
CCTV footage has been analyzed, and over 100 homes in the Strathaven area have been checked as part of door-to-door inquiries.
Local officers are supported by national resources, including specialist search teams, drones from the air support unit, as well as officers searching on quad bikes and with dogs.
Chief Inspector Paul Doyle, local area commander, said: “We continue to urge the public to come forward with any information they may have. No matter how small it may seem, it may be crucial for us in locating him.”
