Emergency services responded swiftly to Bogleshole Road after receiving alerts about “a group of dogs assaulting a man and his dog”.
A group of dogs, identified as Bullies and Staffys, hospitalized a dogwalker after they attacked him and his Labrador in Cambuslang.
Emergency services were dispatched to Bogleshole Road around 5:05 PM on Friday, September 19, following reports of several dogs attacking a man and his pet.
The 65-year-old victim was urgently taken to the hospital for medical attention, while his Labrador was treated at a veterinary clinic.
Authorities have detained a 27-year-old man in relation to the attack.
According to a witness speaking to Glasgow Live, the five dogs involved in the incident were Bullies and Staffys.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland stated, “At approximately 5:05 PM on Friday, September 19, 2025, we were alerted to an incident involving several dogs attacking a man and his dog on Bogleshole Road, Cambuslang. Officers responded, and a 27-year-old man was apprehended.”
“The 65-year-old man received medical treatment at a hospital, and his dog was cared for at a veterinary clinic. The detained 27-year-old will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal,” the spokesperson added.
