Bruce Willis’ Battle With Dementia: Daughter Tallulah Reveals Intimate Family Photos

By Emily Anderson

Tallulah Willis expressed her appreciation for the moments spent with her father, Bruce Willis.

The 31-year-old, who is the offspring of the famed Die Hard star and Demi Moore, shared on Instagram this Sunday images from a recent gathering at her grandmother’s residence with her fiancé, Justin Acee.

“Sunday funday at Grams! Grateful,” Tallulah captioned the post, accompanied by a dove emoji.

In one of the snapshots, Tallulah is seen seated on the ground close to her 70-year-old father, both beaming and holding hands. Another picture captures a tender embrace between the father and daughter, while a different one shows a warm moment between Bruce and Acee, with the musician draping his arm over his soon-to-be father-in-law.

Bruce Willis is also the father to Scout, 33, and Rumer, 36, both shared with Demi Moore, as well as Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11, with his current wife, Emma Heming Willis.

In March 2022, it was publicly disclosed by his family that the Pulp Fiction star would be retiring from acting due to a diagnosis of aphasia, which impairs communication abilities. In February 2023, further health updates revealed Bruce had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

During Father’s Day, Emma shared insights into the challenges of caring for her husband amidst his health issues.

“Happy Father’s Day to all the dads living with disability or disease, showing up in the ways they can and to the children who show up for them,” Emma wrote, acknowledging the bittersweet nature of the celebration while honoring Bruce as both a husband and father.

She expressed a deep wish for different circumstances for Bruce and their family, but also shared a sentiment from the FTD community that resonates with her: “It is what it is.” She explained that this phrase, while seemingly dismissive, actually helps her stay grounded and accept the situation rather than constantly struggling against it. “Today, let’s celebrate the badass dads, those who are here, and those we carry with us. Onward,” she concluded.
