Brooks Nader has been quite transparent about her past cosmetic enhancements.
At 28, the model openly discussed her use of a GLP-1 weight loss drug on her Hulu show Love Thy Nader, and recently shared details about her various beauty treatments with Bustle in a newly released profile.
In her discussion with the publication, Nader revealed that she had undergone rhinoplasty, humorously noting that people now compare her looks to Michael Jackson. She also mentioned getting veneers from Dr. Michael Apa and her use of multiple injectables, including salmon sperm facials and a Botox procedure known as the “Nefertiti” neck lift.
She made a light-hearted comment, saying, “Every Christmas, you can find me resembling Freddy Krueger.”
Nader acknowledged that although the beauty standards in the modeling industry might not be ideal, her career experienced significant growth after she began using the GLP-1 medication for weight management.
“Whenever I was turned down for a job, I used to ask my former agency for client feedback. The straightforward response was that I needed to lose 30 pounds. It didn’t upset me; I didn’t cry about it. I accepted that they wanted me lighter and figured out how to comply,” the Sports Illustrated model explained. “The truth is, once I started on GLP-1, my career soared. I’m not endorsing it; I’m just stating what happened. I dropped 30 pounds and suddenly, I was landing all the gigs.”
Her sisters, Mary Holland, 26, Grace Ann, 25, and Sarah Jane, 23, expressed their worries about her use of the diet medication on Love Thy Nader, even staging an intervention before her important Maxim magazine cover shoot.
In an episode from September 3, Nader commented on the harsh beauty norms of the modeling world, stating, “Sometimes you have to take shortcuts to meet these unrealistic standards. I have several major life-changing shoots ahead. The pressure is immense, and I’m prepared to do whatever it takes to look my best.”
She admitted that her career might have contributed to an unhealthy attitude towards weight and eating, but she viewed the GLP-1 medication as a necessary step towards achieving her dreams.
“From my early childhood days in Louisiana, I dreamed of being a model,” the Dancing With the Stars alum shared. “I’ve worked incredibly hard to get to this point. I think that little Brookies from the Bayou would be extremely proud of where I am today.”
