On June 29, 40-year-old Johnson Ewere was found deceased in a residence located on Charles Street in Royston.
A woman was brought before the court on murder charges following the discovery of a deceased man in a Scottish apartment.
Amanda Forbes, from East Dunbartonshire, stood in Glasgow Sheriff Court without entering a plea on July 3.
Forbes, aged 35, was detained and is scheduled for another court appearance within the upcoming eight days.
The deceased, Johnson Ewere, aged 40, was discovered in an apartment on Charles Street in Royston around 10:25 PM on June 29.
Following the incident, police were quick to arrive at the apartment on Sunday evening and secured the area for several days, establishing a police cordon.
According to social media, Johnson was originally from Benin City, Nigeria and was fondly referred to as ‘ice cream boy’ by his friends in Glasgow.
In response to the tragic news, numerous touching tributes have been shared, expressing sorrow over his untimely death. Jeremiah Ukpoma commented, “RIP bro. Too sad to say this.” Andrew Chan added, “So I won’t see u again…ice cream boy.”
Other friends like Isaac Pascello and Peter Osagiede expressed their condolences, stating “So sad, rest on bro,” and “RIP. So sad,” respectively. Another individual simply stated, “Absolutely heartbreaking.”
On behalf of Police Scotland, Detective Inspector Julie Clisby extended condolences, stating, “Our thoughts remain with Johnson’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
