Armani White might have done well to heed his own warning when he released the track “Watch Your Self” back in 2021.
The Pennsylvania-born artist, aged 29, found himself under arrest in Kentucky on a Sunday evening. He faced charges of “disorderly conduct in the second degree and obstructing a highway,” as reported by TMZ.
According to the report, the incident occurred when the London, KY police were called to the scene after multiple 911 reports were made. Witnesses saw White, whose legal name is Enoch Tolbert, energetically jumping on the concrete barrier of the highway. It appeared his entourage had stopped to capture footage of him dancing on the road divider, presumably for a forthcoming music video.
White was detained in Laurel County but has been released from custody since the incident.
White gained notable recognition for his remix of N.O.R.E.’s 2002 hit “Nothin,” titled “Billie Eilish.” The track climbed to number 58 on the Billboard charts, largely propelled by several remixes and versions by iconic New York rappers, such as Busta Rhymes and N.O.R.E. himself.
He recently concluded a stint as the opening act for T-Pain on tour. It remains unclear if he participated in the entire tour.
