Glasgow missing man seen limping in fresh CCTV footage: missing nearly two weeks

By Benjamin Harrison

Police have released fresh CCTV footage as they step up enquiries into the disappearance of a Glasgow man who has not been seen or heard from since March 2. The renewed appeal comes as relatives and officers grow increasingly worried and hope the images will prompt new leads.

Officers say the 60-year-old, identified as Robert Anderson, was last observed in the city centre in the late afternoon of Monday, March 2. New images show him boarding a bus shortly before 5pm, and enquiries are focused on the route he took into the Castlemilk area.

What police have established so far

Police Scotland say the timeline is clearer after reviewing CCTV. Investigators traced Robert to a number 75 bus and have pinpointed where he disembarked before walking away from the stop. No confirmed contact with family or friends has been recorded since he vanished, prompting an ongoing search.

  • Name: Robert Anderson
  • Age: 60
  • Description: White male, about 5ft 10in, slim, balding, and walks with a limp
  • Clothing when last seen: grey joggers, white T‑shirt, black jacket, white trainers
  • Last known movements: seen in King Street at about 4.40pm; boarding the No. 75 bus in Stockwell Street at roughly 4.55pm on 2 March; alighted on Birgidale Road, Castlemilk around 5.35pm and walked toward Ardencraig Road
  • Police contact: call 101 and quote reference 3180 of 4 March, 2026

Inspector Alyssa Fullelove‑McCann told the public officers are “increasingly concerned” as time passes and asked anyone who might have seen a man matching Robert’s description in the city centre or Castlemilk to get in touch. A separate appeal urged Robert himself, if he sees the notice, to contact his family to let them know he is safe.

The force has circulated several stills taken from bus and street CCTV. Investigators hope that releasing these images to the public will generate sightings or other information that could narrow down Robert’s whereabouts.

How the public can help

Community tips are central to missing-person enquiries. Helpful information includes: remembering where and when you may have seen him, noting bus times or directions, or sharing dashcam or smartphone footage from the relevant streets and times.

If you have information, no matter how small it seems, contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote reference 3180 of 4 March, 2026. The force is also asking people who live or work in the King Street and Castlemilk areas to review any personal footage from the evening of March 2.

Police stress there is no confirmed criminality at this stage; the appeal is focused on locating Robert and confirming he is safe.
