Flight Chaos: Man Arrested After Disturbance on EasyJet at Glasgow Airport

In a recorded video, the individual claimed he wanted to “deliver a message to Donald Trump”

During a recent incident on an EasyJet flight heading to Glasgow, courageous passengers took action to restrain a man who was reportedly yelling about possessing a bomb.

A video captured the man stating his intent to “send a message to Donald Trump,” causing alarm among fellow passengers.

The man was forcibly removed from flight EZY609, which had departed from London Luton and landed at Glasgow Airport at approximately 8:20 AM on Sunday, July 27.

The footage shows him shouting threats such as, “I’m going to bomb the plane. Death to America. Death to Trump,” from the back of the aircraft.

Disturbed passengers watched as the situation unfolded, with one man eventually stepping forward to tackle the shouting individual to the floor. Another helped to restrain him, telling him to “don’t move.” Some passengers were reportedly in tears as the man was handcuffed and escorted off the plane by the authorities.

Police later confirmed the arrest of the 41-year-old man following the disruption on the flight.

The incident took place on an EasyJet service flying from London Luton, as confirmed by the authorities and airline.

Investigations into the incident are still ongoing. According to a spokesperson from Police Scotland, “We received a report of a man causing a disturbance on a flight arriving in Glasgow around 8:20 AM on Sunday, 27 July, 2025. Officers boarded the plane upon its arrival and the 41-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody. Enquiries are continuing. At this time we believe the incident was contained and that no one else was involved. We are aware of videos circulating online and these are being assessed by counter-terrorism officers.”

An EasyJet spokesperson remarked on the event, saying, “Flight EZY609 from Luton to Glasgow this morning was met by police on arrival in Glasgow, where they boarded the aircraft and removed a passenger due to their behavior onboard. EasyJet’s crew are trained to assess and respond swiftly and appropriately to all situations to ensure the safety of the flight and other customers is maintained. The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is always EasyJet’s highest priority.”
