Brooklyn Beckham Missing from David Beckham’s 50th Birthday Bash: Family Rift Speculation?

By Emily Anderson

David Beckham marked his 50th birthday in the company of his wife Victoria Beckham and three of their children, although one of their offspring was noticeably missing from the festivities.

The couple’s eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, and his spouse, Nicola Peltz Beckham, were absent as the famed former footballer celebrated entering a new decade, surrounded by his sons Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and 13-year-old daughter Harper.

“Creating wonderful moments with family and loved ones. We cherish all of you,” was the heartfelt caption shared by David, 50, and Victoria, 51, in an Instagram post about the Saturday celebration that included images of their three attending children.

In the celebratory images, Victoria and her daughter were dressed in matching navy dresses, while David, Romeo, and Cruz were captured in sleek black tuxedos. Additional photos showed David lounging on the hood of a vintage car with his sons and planting a kiss on Harper’s forehead.

The birthday celebration also saw David’s parents and sisters, Joanne and Lynne, in attendance. Victoria’s parents were present as well. Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, missed the gathering, according to TMZ, amidst speculations of a rift within the family that emerged in March following their absence at a previous celebration for David.

At the time, it was reported that Brooklyn was displeased with his brother Romeo for dating his ex-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, who was also present at the Saturday bash. According to TMZ, just before the event, Brooklyn and Nicola traveled to London hoping to celebrate privately with David, but were informed they had to attend the main event or forfeit the opportunity to see the family altogether.

This situation reportedly left Brooklyn and Nicola disheartened as they would not be around Romeo or Turnbull due to the ongoing sibling conflict. TMZ added that although Brooklyn and Nicola did not attend the party, they did contact David to wish him a happy birthday and expressed a preference to handle family matters in private.

Last month, Romeo posted an Instagram Story that some interpreted as a slight against his brother. On April 2, he shared an image from a March 30 celebration for his father, which did not include his brother and sister-in-law. Accompanying the photo, which also featured Turnbull and Cruz’s partner, Jackie Apostel, Romeo wrote, “Family is everything. Love you all,” tagging each person present.
