Former Boy Meets World star Ben Savage is set to become a father!
Ben Savage, the 44-year-old actor renowned for his role as Cory Matthews in the beloved ABC series Boy Meets World and its sequel Girl Meets World, shared on Tuesday that he and his wife Tessa Angermeier are expecting their first child together.
The joyful announcement was made on Instagram, where Savage posted a couple of photographs featuring him and his wife beaming as they displayed ultrasound images. While not revealing much, Savage captioned his post with “arriving this fall.” Tessa, in her own social media update, expressed her eagerness for the arrival, stating, “November can’t come soon enough.”
Savage’s fans, including his Boy Meets World co-star Maitlin Ward, were thrilled by the news, with many leaving congratulatory comments. One fan remarked, “Bro, I hope Mr. Feeny is still around to see the baby. That would be epic,” referring to actor Bill Daniels, now 98. Another humorously commented, “I’m telling Topanga.”
This upcoming arrival marks the first child for both Savage and his wife. The pair began dating in 2018, became engaged in January 2023, and Savage announced this major milestone by posting a photo of the two, with Angermeier showcasing a glittering engagement ring. They exchanged vows shortly thereafter at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California, in March 2023.
Recently, the couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary. Angermeier commemorated the occasion by sharing a wedding photo and writing, “Happy anniversary. Love you always.”
Savage first gained widespread recognition as Cory Matthews through all seven seasons of Boy Meets World, which aired from 1993 to 2000 on ABC. The show also featured actors like Maitland, Daniels, Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle. Savage reprised his role in the Disney Channel spinoff Girl Meets World, where Cory and Topanga, as a married couple, are parents to Riley (played by Rowan Blanchard).
