Jenna Dewan believes 2026 could finally be the year she and long-term fiancé Steve Kazee make their marriage official.
The 45-year-old actress told PEOPLE on Tuesday that she and Kazee, 50, are narrowing down the plans after being engaged for six years.
“There’s a strong possibility,” Dewan said, explaining that they’re aiming to have the wedding sometime this year. “We’ve had so many ideas and conversations, trying to land on the right plan at the right moment. We’re working on it and getting closer.”
Dewan and Kazee, who went public with their engagement in February 2020, share two children: son Callum, 5, and daughter Rhiannon, 20 months. Dewan, known for her role on The Rookie, is also mother to 12-year-old Everly from her previous marriage to Channing Tatum.
Dewan’s divorce from Tatum, 45, was officially completed in September 2024, concluding a process that stretched six years following their separation. The former couple, married in 2009, announced their split in 2018 and were declared legally single the following year.
Despite that legal status, the divorce itself remained unresolved for years amid a dispute over earnings from the Magic Mike franchise, which originated during their marriage. Before the settlement, Dewan’s lawyers argued the films had been co-financed with marital funds, while Tatum’s team maintained he had not concealed financial information from her.
Now that the divorce matter is behind her and wedding planning is moving forward, the Step Up alum said one benefit of such a long engagement is that all of their children can take part in the festivities. “That’s the sweet part — now there are three kids to include,” she noted. “They’ll each have their own roles at different moments in the ceremony.”
“So far, Evy is set to dance, and Callum will be dancing too,” she added of their talents. “He’s only six but has already done a recital and loves being onstage. We joke that the child of both of us couldn’t help but love performing.”
Regarding her youngest, Dewan laughed that Rhiannon is “very vocal,” saying, “She sings along to songs, so she might end up inheriting Steve’s singing voice.”
