Surprise — Vanna White has married John Donaldson.
The Wheel of Fortune personality, 68, and her longtime partner revealed on Instagram this week that they quietly exchanged vows in a private ceremony after being together for more than a decade.
She shared a wedding-day photo of Donaldson holding her and wrote that they had made things official, explaining that the couple — who have been in love for over ten years — chose to keep the ceremony private.
White added that they are delighted to begin this new, happy chapter together and signed the message, “Love, Vanna and John.”
Fans and colleagues were quick to respond. The official Wheel of Fortune account sent congratulations, while Maggie Sajak reacted with teary-eyes and a white-heart emoji. Co-host Ryan Seacrest also posted a congratulatory message on his Instagram Story, spreading the news to his followers.
White and Donaldson first crossed paths in 2012 when a friend of hers introduced the real estate developer at a party. White later told PEOPLE that she remembers being struck by how attractive he was and that they ended up talking well into the evening.
Describing their partnership in past interviews, she has said their relationship “just works,” noting they allow each other to be themselves and that there’s no drama between them.
Although they’d been a couple for 14 years before ultimately deciding to wed, White told E! News in December 2025 that she never felt pressured to marry. She said they were happy as they were and that, after so many years together, it often feels as though they already are married — that a marriage certificate isn’t necessary to define their bond.
This marks the second marriage for both White and Donaldson. White was previously married to restaurateur George Santo Pietro from 1990 until 2002; they share two children, Nicholas “Nikko” Santo Pietro, 31, and Giovanna “Gigi” Santo Pietro, 28.
