The Pebble Creek Men’s Club had their “Guest Day” June 23 and by all accounts, it was deemed a resounding success.  Gary Obele and Warren Johnson  organized and ran the event and Course Supt. Dave Simeon and his crew had the golf course in exceptional condition.
Golfers played 18 holes of two man best ball golf and finished the day dining on a steak meal served at T’s Restaurant.
The team of Obele and his guest Don Saucke took the first place gross score honors with an excellent score of 59.  On the net side, Mark Staller and his guest Vern Johnson took first place with a net score of 62.
Member/Member Event
Sat., July 10.
The PCMC had 16 teams play in a member/member two-man best ball event, which had a very good turnout.  Taking first place with an excellent score of net 60 was the team of Aaron Bauer and Tim Cox.
Bauer shot a fantastic gross score on his own of 73 while Cox and he won by two shots.  Coming in second place (won on scorecard playoff) with a net score of 62 was the team of Tony Graning and Eric Graning.   Coming in third, also with a net 62, was the team of President Mel Doherty and Jerry Vetsch.  And finally, bringing up the last payout spot in fourth position with a score of net 64 was the team of Mike McCann and Ted (aka Teddy Bear) Crowe.
Kudos go out to another excellent individual score of 71 gross, shot by Scott Holt.  Also shooting low gross scores of 73 were the previously mentioned Bauer (net 65) and Eric Gohdes.
On the net side, Ted Crowe (net 69), Eric Graning (net 67) and Cox (net 67) all had fine rounds.
